Biography
J. Hamilton Ray was born in Canada, where he learned to ski at age two. Since then he has become an accomplished writer and director of children’s television shows, music videos, and documentaries (for ABC News). He’s won two national Emmy Awards for outstanding writing for children. Ray and his wife, the novelist C.A. Belmond, divide their time between Connecticut and France. Squirrels on Skis is his first picture book.
